Open Question: Car Insurance Claim – Settlement time?
So in February 2009 a girl reversed into my car, I have paid £500 for the damages myself as it takes to long for the third party’s insurers to repair the damages, and now I have legal aid from my insurance company and they are chasing the third party insurers for my money back. The third party hasn’t admitted liability, but I have a witness just not an independant one.
It seems to be taking a long time for any kind of update from the third party insurers, and my insurance company doesn’t seem that interested in chasing them up unless I ask them to.
How can I get my case settled more quicker?
Anyone know about the processes of these claims and how long ti can take?

I’m requesting to contest the auto liability decision on claim# 22233, that occurred 06/21/09. I strongly feel that this wasn’t therally investigated.
In the location where the accident occurred there are four lanes in which two pair lanes go the opposite direction. There is also a white pavement connected to the outside lane where vehicles are permitted to park off to the side legally. During the conversation with the independent adjuster I advised that my friend and I took seperate vehicles in leaving another friends place in long beach in which we ended up getting lost for sometime due to the freeways being closed and to make matters worse her cell phone died out and I didn’t have my Gps with me so there was no means to communicate other then pulling over. I confirmed with the independent adjuster that after I pulled over on the white pavement, I did look to see if there was any traffic first before retrieving my cell phone, purse and opening the driverside door. However it wasn’t asked how long my driver side door was open. Since there was no communication with my friend and not being familair I had open my driverside door but still remainined in the car realizing that there was a seven eleven down the street and looking in my purse to see if there was something to write with and assuming my friend would meet me at my car to walk together. My door had to have been open over a minute or two. After the other vehicle had striked my vehicle the door’s shell and trim panel flew off passed my friends vehicle which also indicates that my door had already been open prior to the collision. In addition the damages to the other vehicle was the front bumper all the way accross to the driverside door. After switching insurance information the other driver stated that he wanted to leave so my friend took pictures on sides of the door instead of the intire damage however it was the other drivers duty to see my opened door.
Open Question: ok so about 4 months ago i got into a car accident I made a left turn and the other person hit me however,?
when I saw the light the light was red and I had to turn to avoid blocking the intersection I saw all other traffic stop so I made the turn and this woman hit me. on a side note this is an uncontrolled intersection. She said the light was yellow and 3 witnesses came up to me and all of them said it looked like she sped up and hit me. So I took their Information down and so on and file my claim. However state farm took forever to get the witness statements. So when I contact them they were sounding all funny about it. Then they call me back and claimed that none of the witnesses didn’t remember or knew what the color of the light was so they denied my claim. That doesn’t sound right. What should I do I need suggestions please my car wont get fixed is something doesn’t get done. And yes I have liability insurance but im not the one who pays for it.
