Most of us have to purchase an auto insurance policy. If you live in the US, you are certainly required to prove you have coverage in order to operate a vehicle legally. Most of us need to purchase a required minimum policy.
Some people are easier to insure than others. Young drivers, and those with accidents or unique cars, may be more expensive to cover. But that does not mean you should just accept a very high premium or a rate increase. And finding cheaper insurance does not always mean you should use the so-called discount insurers.
I had one experience tha taught me to shop around. My own “discount insurer” raised my rate by a factor of three after I put my own teenage son and a used car on my insurance policy. The company rep and my insurance agent insisted they could do no better.
After a few weeks, I decided to get some competitive car insurance quotes. One company, that is not known for being inexpensive, caught my eye.
Guess what? That company could offer me discounts that the “discount companies” did not. They could offer me a home/auto discount, and they could offer my teenager discounts for taking a defensive driving class. My rates dropped by $200 a month!
Think about that two hundred bucks a month. That meant I could save $2,400 a year. Within a few years, I could save enough to buy another car.
You must shop around. It is fairly easy to do with internet auto insurance quotes. You simply key in some basic details, click a submit button, and relax as insurers step forward to compete for your business.
As I wrote above, some people will have higher premiums than others. But with online auto policy shopping, there is no reason to pay too much.
How can you find the Discount Auto Insurance?
