Resolved Question: grades suffering working fulltime and going to school?
I am working a job at Walmart that pays $12.40 an hour ($1700/month), I am also full time. The scheduling is various on days. My husband makes about $8.00/hr ($1100/month). We do not have any kids (do not plan on having any now either!!). I do not have a car note, my dad pays my car insurance, no bills. The only thing we pay is $400 rent every month to my mom since we live in her house. We also pay about $80 on gas. Before I got married my grades were excellent and I didn’t work. I had a 3.8 gpa, I was apart of the international honor’s society (phi theta kappa) and was on the dean’s list. Since being married and working full time, my grades have been suffering. I cannot work full time and go to school full time. My husband gets mad at me for wanting to quit my job. Also he thinks that my grades are sufferring because I get home from work and I am lazy. But when I get home from work I am tired. I cannot put my full effort in this. Before we got married he said that he would take care of me. Now it changes because I making more money. How can I tell him I need to quit or work less? I need to graduate with good grades to be more competitive because I have $30,000 in student loans. Wouldn’t making $1400 a month be enough for a couple with no kids and only have $480 in “bills.” every month?
Resolved Question: WHY KEEP MY AUTO INSURANCE IF I WILL NOT DRIVE ?
I am leaving the USA for 3 years on an international project. At no time will I be driving a car. What are the good reasons I should keep my auto insurance in force ? Or should I just cancel, then buy again when I return ?
Resolved Question: Can People 18 drive alone into Canada from the US?
I’m looking online and I’m not getting any straightforward answers. I live in New Hampshire and I just turned 18. Some of my friends will be 18 soon. We’re planning (or trying to plan) a trip right after graduation to go to Montreal (which is like 4 hours away from our town).
What I’m trying to find out is when do you become a legal adult? Some say 18, some say 19 some say 21. I don’t really know. Would I have to have a note from parents or what? We really want to make this trip. We all have passports. We want to go to Montreal, but we might also spend an extra week and go to Toronto.
Also… do we need to have international insurance for the car? My aunt had to get it when she went to Mexico. She lives in SF bay area.
If you can answer, thanksthanksthanks!
