Open Question: How to get new driver’s license when moving to new state?
I just moved to Virginia from Florida. I have my florida driver’s license that I’ve had for 2 years. I don’t have a car here in Virginia(I’m here for college), but would like to switch to a virginia’s driver’s license for ID, etc. Plus, I think your supposed to when you move.
What process would I go through at the DMV? Can I get a Virginia’s license even without a car? Would I need insurance, just for having a license, or only if I have a car?

BTW, it is $265 per month for a 12 month plan. It expires in a few days.
Open Question: what are survivor rights in FL for a wrongful death suit?
My dad was the victim of a deadly car accident with a drunk driver. The other driver only had $10k worth of insurance. His insurance is now willing to pay my mom that same amount. Is there any law in the state of Florida that says she can lose for the loss of companionship, love, funeral expenses, etc.? The other driver is being charged with a DUI manslaughter, but I wanna know what else we’re entitled to. The insurance company is trying to sign over a check, but only if my mom signs a waiver stating she would no longer sue the other driver. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
