Open Question: Young driver car insurance help?
I am 17 and have a 57 plate 1.4 peugeot 207. My dad took out insurance on it with Quinn direct with me as a named driver while I had a provisional license. It cost £1250, but now I have a FULL license they want a further £2000! What do you all think of this and if anyone has any suggestion of any other insurers that might be cheaper please say.

WASHINGTON – Key Senate Democrats are paring back subsidies designed to make insurance more affordable as they reach for bipartisan support on health care legislation. An outline circulated during the day by Sen. Max Baucus, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, also leaves open the possibility that there would be no direct government competition against private insurors.
Despite the cost-cutting, the proposal retains key elements of President Barack Obama’s call for expanded health insurance. It requires most individuals to purchase coverage and forbids insurance companies from denying it on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions.

Open Question: My fiances teen daughters misbehave.. How do I correct this?
My wife to be was an abused child now 40. She is an awesome person. WE DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE TO PAY FOR THERAPY. My stepdaughters to be are being influenced by their father and grandparents and it causes havoc. It is to the point that I’m close to giving up on them and my fiancé has stated that but I’ve kept my opinion to myself. It started last fall when my children and me were not invited to Thanksgiving and the fiancé has not spoken to them since. Her step mom insisted I pay for oldest car tires, brakes and oil change. A friend of mine was going to do it for free but it had to be done during the week (slow time for his business) they didn’t like that so I told her to ask her father to have it done. That is just the tip of things that took place. Her stepmother has very serious control issues. Her parents used classic control-abuse techniques on her for most of her life. Those issues are now being used on the stepdaughters. Stepdaughters are 14 and 18 girls. They have zero respect for their mom. They can be fine with me for hours but once they have contact with grandma and come home they treat us like crap. The oldest will hang with my kids and me all day but leaves just before her mom comes home. If I apply any type of discipline things in our home get ruined (furniture carpets appliances utensils etc). Neither of them has called me by my first name and we have been living together for 16 months. They can be nice to my children 3 and 8. My fiancé has little or no guts to face it. That is a direct (or I think) result of years of abuse… where do I start?
