Open Question: Who Is Right? (More right) or (Both)?
My name is (female)”Glitter” and I have a friend named (male)”GQ”.
I live in a warm state on the West Coast and GQ lives in the midwest.
We have been friends for over 10 years and have dated as teens for a short time. GQ was my savior during times when I was growing up being abused both phycially and mentally by my parents. We have remained closer than anyone we know. So it hurts that we got in a BIG FIGHT recently. I wanna be cocky and say that I KNOW I am right in being a bit angry….yet he feels that I am NOT wrong and that I am 100% wrong. You I hope YAHOO ANSWERS will be the MORAL COURT JURY HERE…..So here is the situation:

GQ offered to pay my ticket to the MidWest to come and visit him several times this year. I have just returned from being overseas and dont have very much money at all. I was very excited to have a ticket offered to me, but 2 obsticles hold me back:
1.) Money. I cannot afford to leave on a 6 hour flight for 3 days, because I am oweing someone $$$$ and I feel its important to pay that person back. I also have rent to pay, car, car insurance, normal bills. I cannot afford to even travel and be gone for 3 days because there is a slight possiblity that I may make money during one of those days. And I have very little money–hence why I had to borrow from someone. Also, in the 9 times that I have travelled I ALWAYS get sick! ESPECIALLY when I travel to the cold. The only time that I do not get sick is when I travel back to my home here in the warm state. I have Asthma and the last time I stayed more than 24 hours in the MidWest during the winter, I was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I was also hospitalized when I travelled in the winter overseas.
2.) I was abused in the state that GQ lives in when I was a teen and young adult by my family. I was abused both physically and mentally and still suffer from the memories to the point where I am required to be on medication. However, after being on medication for so long. I wish to use natural methods and avoid stress and fearful situations. I dont even travel to that state to see anyone. In the nine years I have been gone I have only been home 3 times.
3.) He invited me during Feb, March, and June. Both months except for June are normally cold.

During my recent trip from another country, I rerouted my direct flight home on the West Coast so that I could indeed stop for 24 hours and see friends. I saw GQ during this time. Our visit was short as I only had a 24hour layover.

Recently, after refusing to allow GQ to send me a plan ticket for a trip to the MidWest to visit him…I suggested that he come to see ME on the West Coast. He has NEVER been to visit me here ever.
I told GQ that he is the one having a FULL TIME well paying job AND he can afford to take the 3 days off to visit me. I also live in a place where its warm and where folks travel to vacation at.

GQ told me that he doesnt just want to come for the weekend and with the hard economic times he does NOT want to call off work. I can TOTALLY understand and respect this. He also mentioned that with the 6 hour flight and leaving on a Friday, and returning on Sunday to be ready for Monday work–would basically leave him only ONE good full day here. I do understand this and respect it. He told me that if he had time off work than surely he would come to visit me.

So I was waiting and thinking that as soon as he got time that he would! YET HE DIDNT!!! OMG!!!!

We are both in relationships. His fiance is overseas…and my boyfriend lives in my city.

GQ recently sent me a message saying that he just FINISHED booking his ticket OVERSEAS to see his fiance. (Whom he has seen 2-3 times already within the past year).

I was SO UPSET! as I had he told me that the ONLY reason he wouldnt visit me is because he couldnt get time off work. Now here he WAS able to get time off work and he books a ticket to head OVERSEAS! THEN expects me to be happy!

I wasnt. And told him how hurt I was…and well we got in a HUGE fight.
We have recently made up…bascially even though I was still mad. I had to call and almost apologize but I feel its MESSED UP….the worst part is even NOW he still brings it up Daily, that I need to COME OUT THERE TO THE MIDWEST and visit him. And that I dont care about him because I do not come out there to visit him. I feel that I have more reasons to stay where I am at AND I have even adjusted my nonstop flight to stop off in his city to at least visit for a few hours.

How can he say this to me?

Is he right? Am I more right?

I got so upset that he started talking like this today I hung up on him.

I have even told him how I want him to see where and how I live here.

Please advice and dont hold anything back. Cause we need to settle this! I told him I would take him to Moral Court and he said I would LOSE cause I am the one in the wrong and need to travel to the midwest and visit him with the ticket that he could pay and book for me. I feel he
