Open Question: california auto insurance?
my daughter bought a used car and was told by the seller that he would keep his insurance on the car for a couple of weeks so she could find her own insurance. Well a couple of days later she was pulled over and when the cop asked for her insurance papers, they were not in the glove box. Now we can not fond the seller to get a copy of his insurance. Does anyone know how we can find out which insurance company insured the car? When you register your car does DMV write down your insurance information? I added her car to our policy the same day she got the ticket. Any help would be appreciated. The ticket amount is $1100.00! Thanks Gary

Open Question: Help! Freeway accident. . .?
I was in a involved in a car accident last night in a freeway. There was three car involve. I bumped into a pickup truck and that pick up truck hit a commercial cargo van in front of them. No one was injured. The front of my car is seriously damage, and could not start at that time, until a highway protrol police came to push me aside. The pick-up truck rare, in which I bump into does not look damage at all, but his front side of his truck is a little damage, they said the front wheel is damge so they could not drive it so they called an tow truck. The commercial cargo van was not really damage jsut a little bent in the rare bumper. My car was the most damage in the from and could not even start. Since I cause the first collsion, and hit someone from behind, I know there is a very high chance I am at fault. I do not want to admit it,but I will state all the facts in which i observe. Driving at under speed limit, 40-50mph, and I just notice that this car in front stopped in front of me, and I hit the break and then there goes my car. I have All State for insurance. I am 18 years old, been driving only around six months, this is my first accident, my insurance is under my parents.

When my name was added to my parents insurance, there was a $300 increase to out overall, which is for 6 months. Approxminatly how much it increase? How long will it be on my liscense record? How long will it be on my insurance record? What is the best thing that can happen, or what is the worst case?

I’m sorry there is a lot of question, but this is really getting me stress out, but I really appreciated it if u give me advice to any of my question.

P.S.: By the way, this is all in California.
