Open Question: should i forgive her?
I have recently been kicked out of my home by my step dad and my mum was conviniently out that evening. i have had problems with my step dad for a long time to give a brief backgroup set up:
he owns the house, the cars, the business, my mother works for him for 6 days a week 8-5 pm.
She has nothing of her own except her wages which are stupidly low for what she does, i earn more than she does.
She has developed arthritus in her back due to working so much but he still wont let her have a day off. She has nothing without him and we have no family any where near where we live.
He has tried to control me and make my life difficult ever since my mum married him, controlling who i can and cant see, not letting me have friends round to the house, causing serious issues between myself and partner, charging me a stupid amount of rent for just my room (no food, i have to buy that my self and i dont earn a great deal).
He kicked me out because i finally decided to stand up for myself about rent and the date at which i pay it on, he expected it by the 15th of each month which i couldnt possibly do due to the fact that i dont get paid untill the end of each month and he was going to raise it even higher, at which i couldnt afford, i have a car to run, insurance to pay for, diesel to buy, food for myself and the essentials, tooth paste, shampoo etc etc.
as i got home on the evening i was kicked out he demanded money before i was aloud to get my things from the house and then he said to me “that will teach you for talking back to me” “my house my rules” he had strewn my things all over the hall of the house including my bedroom furniture.
the point of this is, is that my mum let it happen, she didnt stand up for me, now she expects things to be fine between us and i dont no if i can ever forgive her for it.
should i forgive her? should i let her no how much she has hurt me?
sorry, just to add a few things to this, my mum and i have spoken about him before…she says she loves him and that i dont see the side of him that she does, which is true…however so many times she has come crying to me that he has told her to f*** off and post her keys back through the door if she doesnt like it…
i really dont no what her mind set is…she seems happy with him and takes his views on things but she married him roughly 8 months after she met him and i only saw him twice for roughly an hour each time before we relocated and moved in with him…

Open Question: Can I keep the money from a car accident claim without repairing the vehicle?
Recently, someone backed into the side door of my car. Their fault. YES I OWN THE CAR, THERE ARE NO LIENS! They did approx $2,000 worth of damage. The adjustor came out & estimated the damage & sent a check for a small amount. Its currently at the body shop now for an final estimate. However, I am not sure I want to repair the car. When I told the adjustor on the phone today that I am @ the repair shop getting a final estimate. He got pissy & said, “i already gave you an estimate, so you dont need another estimate. they are just looking to see if there is anymore damage and if there is I will write them a supplement check to fix it.” I said, “ok well I don’t care if it’s called an estimate or a fart, I will get all that is owed to me.” Do I have the option to just keep the money and live with the damages or do I have to have the vehicle repaired in order to go through with the claim? The adjustor is making me feel like I have to get it fixed and he is making it seem like he wont write a check to me, ONLY to the shop. How do I fight this is he give me problems?
There are other adjusters and people in the “insurance” business won Yahoo answers trying to tell me that, the adjuster will pay the body shop to repair the damages and if I decide against repairing my car OH WELL I’ll just have to settle for the original small check from the first estimate.
IS THIS TRUE OR JUST SOMETHING THEY WANT TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE? HOW DO I GET AROUND IT?
Open Question: I was in a car accident and settled with the car insurance . Can I still go after the drivers other insurance?
The driver has small business insurance and homeowners insurance. Because I settled with one does that mean I’ve settled with all?
